Living in communities is at the root of our existence. It’s a defining factor in our well-being. Humans in cities are not cut off from these profound influences. Tulou is for all of them: a village within a city where people can thrive, a human habitat that improves residents’ lives.
Emerging from a loving study of different ways of inhabiting the world, Tulou is constructed to evolve contemporary issues: isolation into community, waste into shared resources, and binding deals into flexibility. More than a collection of structures, Tulou is a shared vision.

Tulou’s founders met as friends and family.
They’re full-time parents and dreamers with something more in common too.
A link formed across vast distances, in geographies and experiences, as they moved with individual rhymes and reasons through metropolises, towns, villages, tribes, and intentional communities. Despite their different paths, a common thread bound them together, leading them to meet (on an island first, then in Milan).
They recognised they had all been searching for something similar inside themselves and the world: a human habitat, a nurturing architecture, somewhere for people to grow freely. Before its buildings, Tulou was a shared idea.

“I want Tulou to be what makes cities more inclusive and beautiful.”

Born in 1987 with the curse and blessing of being Milanese, Vittorio has spent his life obsessing over his city. This led him to obtain an economics and management degree from Bocconi university, to venture far from Milan (in Spain and Chile, his second homes) and always come back, like a lovelorn partner. In the meantime, he established a successful career in finance and startups, but his curiosity about how he could give back to Milan never waned. Tulou is one of the answers, and he knows it will make a difference.

Born 35 years ago in Monza, Andrea has always believed technology should enhance human connection. In the process of founding professional advisory firms and sitting on boards for companies and charities, he never forgot the loneliness he first felt when moving from his Italian hometown to Lugano, in Switzerland, and the chance encounters that made the experience worthwhile. That’s why he can’t wait to meet all the new friends, ideas and dreams disguised as strangers in Tulou.

Born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Linda’s soul matured in the jungle of Henri Pittier National Park and the Andes Cordillera in Venezuela. She grew up between Caracas and Pontremoli, working in fashion in Paris and creating homes and jungle-inspired restaurants in Milan. Along the way, she met people and places that taught her that the world is subjective and can always be painted in pink and orange hues. She is thrilled to see what new colours will bloom in Tulou.

Born near Siracusa, Santo never viewed the waters surrounding his island as restrictive, but as a gateway to exploration. Driven by a yearning for freedom, including the freedom to make mistakes, he made his way to Milan, where he immersed himself in naval journalism before venturing into high-end cuisine. However, the allure of the saltwater compelled him to seek a new home in Ibiza, where he lives today, harbouring ever-evolving dreams, anticipating the currents, waves, and winds that Tulou will shape.
